Fourwinds offers free breaks to families in celebration of B&B Week

In honour of the week, Fourwinds B&B in March is partnering with the Family Holiday Association, supporting struggling families by providing much needed short breaks to allow them to spend time together, away from the stresses at home.

National B&B Week was created to acknowledge the 20,000+ B&Bs in the UK and celebrate the hardwork of their hosts and their contribution to British tourism.

From 18th-24th March the organisers of #BandBWeek, eviivo and the B&B Association, and participating B&Bs will be flying the flag for bed and breakfasts and independent accommodation across the UK, to raise awareness and recognise the hard work of hosts and hoteliers and their incredible contribution to the hospitality industry.

Fourwinds B&B joins hundreds of B&Bs this March in celebrating the independent accommodation sector by offering exlusive perks. Unique offers from across the industry range from a free Scottish gin tasting to a cruise on Lake Windermere, unlimited free homemade icecream and even a free trip to St Michael’s Mount!

The event also supports the Family Holiday Association, who have been chosen as the official charity of National B&B Week. The Family Holiday Association provide well-needed breaks for families coping with issues, such as mental illness, long term sickness and domestic violence, who wouldn’t otherwise be able to go on holiday.

‘We are very proud to be a part of National B&B Week again, this time inviting families nominated by The Family Holiday Association to stay with us as our guests and enjoy all that The Fens has to offer – especially our friendly Fenland communities, and unique peaceful and beautiful countryside’ – Beverly Chappell, co owner of Fourwinds B&B

Tourism Minister, Michael Ellis, said “National B&B Week is a great opportunity for us to showcase this dynamic sector. I hope we can encourage even more people to support British tourism & experience the superb places on offer all across the nation.”

He added, “Our B&Bs are world-class. Four of TripAdvisor’s top five B&Bs in the world are in Britain and this is something that we want to capitalise on.”

There will be a range of promotional activities throughout the week to show the world what an amazing industry this is. B&B Week is also working with partners and sponsors to encourage visitors to stay in a B&B so that they can enjoy and celebrate this truly authentic and traditional holiday experience. Sponsors include, Expedia, LateRooms, National Express and Google – as well as numerous tourism boards from across the UK.
